Baptism

God, who is rich in mercy and love, gives us a new birth into a living hope through the sacrament of baptism. By water and the Word God delivers us from sin and death and raises us to new life in Jesus Christ. We are united with all the baptized in the one body of Christ, anointed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, and joined in God's mission for the life of the world. Please contact the pastor if you would like yourself or your child to be baptized.

First Communion

Regardless of age, all baptized persons are invited to the Lord's Table to receive this holy sacrament. The Lutheran Church believes that the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is in, with, and under the bread and wine as instituted by Christ himself for Christians to eat and drink. Through this sacrament we receive forgiveness for our sins. The body and blood nourish us in our spiritual and physical lives to share God's loving witness with the world. Though it is not a prerequisite to receiving communion, a class is usually offered on a Saturday morning in March for elementary age children and their parents to learn more about this mystery of our faith. Please contact the pastor for details.
